Going to the dentist shouldn't be a luxury or a nightmare. Go for a regular cleaning and examination at least once each year, preferably twice, to help prevent the need for more serious work. No dental insurance? Keep your eyes peeled on daily deal sites like Groupon or Living Social, you can normally snag a cleaning, exam and x-ray for less than $100.
